Planning ahead is something that we all intend to do, be it to provide for loved ones or to choose who we would like to help in case we cannot make important decisions for ourselves. We are here to assist you to make arrangements now for yourself or a family member.

Life can be unpredictable and as we get older, these plans are more likely to become a reality so it makes sense to make arrangements now – we can help.

Being able to make decisions is something that we all take for granted. Hopefully you will always be able to make the decisions that affect your life. Illness or mental health issues may reduce your ability to make these decisions. In case this happens to you, it is best to make arrangements now.

A Lasting Power of Attorney provides the means to make arrangements for whoever you choose to consult with before decisions are made on your behalf. This will only come into force if your capacity, to make decisions, is diminished or you can choose for it to come into force at anytime. There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney, these cover:

• Property and affairs covering managing your bank accounts and making arrangements for your home.
• Personal welfare covering issues such as care on a daily basis, living arrangements or healthcare.
