Elderly Client
Planning ahead is something that we all intend to do, be it to provide for loved ones or to choose who we would like to help in case we cannot make important decisions for ourselves. We are here to assist you to make arrangements now for yourself or an elderly relative.
As we get older, these plans are more likely to become a reality so it makes sense to make arrangements now – we can help.
Making a will gives you control. If you want to leave specific items, be they items of sentimental value, jewellery, furniture or property after your death you will need a will. A will gives you this peace of mind. Without it the law takes over. This means if you are not married, your partner may not be entitled to anything. Call us for an appointment.
Making future decisions. Being able to make decisions is something that we all take for granted. Hopefully you will always be able to make the decisions that affect your life. Illness or mental health issues may reduce your ability to make these decisions. You can make arrangements now in case this happens to you.
A Lasting Power of Attorney provides the means to make arrangements for whoever you choose to consult with before decisions are made on your behalf. This will only come into force if your capacity, to make decisions, is diminished or you can choose for it to come into force at anytime. There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney, these cover:
- Property and affairs covering managing your bank accounts and making arrangements for your home.
- Personal welfare covering issues such as care on a daily basis, living arrangements or healthcare.
We are happy to advise if you have questions relating to your relatives. Contact us to make an appointment.
Don't worry if you have any mobility issues, we are able to make arrangements to visit you. Just let us know when you phone our team.
